Career Coach - Client relationship

For the realisation of a successful career counselling process it’s required that a relationship between the two sides of the process is established.

  • The Career Coach – actively listens, asks questions, notes down important things from the session, supports, motivates, challenges, leads and directs the conversation with the goal – an outcome in accordance to the topic and goal determined by the client.
  • The client – Fully mentally present to the session with their attention, оpenness, active listening and searching for answers, motivated work toward the realisation of the predetermined activities inbetween sessions.

The foundation of the relationship is TRUST. All conversations, activities, conclusions and insights will remain between the participants, and are not shared with third parties. Out of the session, the client can share the insights and conclusions with people in their own right, while to the advisor advisor all of the details of the session remain with a maximum level of confidence. The exception may be a situation when it is brought to the issue of the safety of the advisor, the client or a third party.
